Grass fire extinguished

Members of the Port Aransas Volunteer Fire Department extinguish a grass fire at the Port Aransas Nature Preserve at Charlie’s Pasture on Wednesday, Feb. 3. It was in a part of the preserve that lies just south of Port A RV Resort. Less than one acre burned before the flames were doused. The cause was unknown, at last report.
