Winning artist



Hazel Morris, a sophomore at Port Aransas High School, won first place in the 2-D category of the Rockport Center for the Arts Student Competition with this Hatian-style piece. Morris was awarded with a $100 prize on Thursday, March 11. She, along with several fellow students, were encouraged by PAHS art teacher Tom McHenry to enter the contest.
