Sheltered Port Aransas Animal Control Officer Annette Schwenk holds Scout, a tri-colored mixed breed dog who is waiting to be adopted at the shelter. Scout and other shelter animals will get to use a dog park for exercise. Non-shelter animals also will get to use it. City officials are talking about putting the fenced park next to the animal shelter.
