Some $3,800 raised at a poker and auction event on Wednesday, Feb. 8, will help send 25 Brundrett Middle School eighth-graders to Washington D.C. in June. Nearly 30 players and countless others who came to bid on items at the auction met at Bernie’s Beach House to help raise funds for the non-school sponsored annual trip. Helping make the event a success were Katy Brennan, in back from left, trip chaperone Paul Balcomb, Tonya May, Kelli Snyder, Debbie Dean and organizer Shelly Cameron.
