They were among many BMS students who were allowed during the school day to take part in a one-hour social and activity time that was available only to the school’s new SURF Club members who passed all of their courses or had perfect attendance and satisfied other requirements of the club during a six-week period. ‘SURF,’ an acronym for ‘Stepping Up & Reaching Forward,’ aims to reward students for doing well in school.
