The lights go on at Jerry Mc- Donald Field tonight, Thursday, April 12, when the Port Aransas Softball Association begins men’s league play.

Organizer Butch Findley said the league is an open roster, meaning any player who wants to join may come in at anytime if there is room on a team. Entry fee is $250 a team. Games will be played every Thursday through June 14.

Thursday night’s game will be Island Boys versus White Cap at 7 p.m., El Gato Charter vs. Wolf Jaw at 8 p.m., and the U.S. Coast Guard versus Castaways at 9 p.m.

The co-ed league will start the first Tuesday in June. Entry fee is also $250. Players and teams should contact Findley to register.
