Port Aransas is one of 29 designated sites along the Texas coast to participate in the annual cleanup. Statewide coastal cleanups are held every spring and fall.
In addition to cleaning our beaches, the effort helps to raise public awareness, educate citizens about the source of debris and generate public support for state, national and international action to clean up coastal waters.
Those who are unable to participate, but still want to support the volunteer effort, can make a tax-deductible donation online.
For more information contact Fabrie at 749- 0256 or denofabrie@yahoo.com.
Contributing to the event’s success each year are H-E-B, Family Center IGA, Ă…llied Waste, Fisherman’s Wharf, Newport Dunes Golf Club, Omni Hotel Corpus Christi and the South Jetty.
