Although no awards or medals were given in a threeway golf meet among Port Aransas, Woodsboro and Kenedy at Alice on Monday, April 2, Marlin golfers came away with some impressive scores.

Tyler Burns led the boys with a 73, followed by Hudson Ross (83), Dakota Cowen (87) and Colton Lancaster (99). Andrew Follett shot 120, Hudson Marraro carded a 122 and Harris Hipp scored 135.

Among the girls, Rachel Davis posted the low score with 102, followed by Maddison Shannon with 112 and Jocelyn Flood with 121. Megan Forrest and Anna Roberson tied at 122 and Sydney Hogan carded a 144.

“Our kids have practiced hard all season,” said coach Kris Jones. He said they plan to be ready for the district tournament, scheduled for Monday, April 9, at 9 a.m. at the Alice Golf Club.
