Revue will offer dinner, show at PACT on April 7

If you’re looking for a romantic night on the town, look no further than the Broadway Revue scheduled for Saturday, April 7, at the Port Aransas Community Theatre.

The evening will feature two options: a seated dinner and a show, or the show only.

Broadway Revue is a partnership between the Port Aransas Community Theatre and Relay For Life. Proceeds will go to Relay For Life.

Only 60 tickets will be sold for the dinner and show. Cost is $30 per person or $50 per couple and are on sale at the Gratitude Shop next to the Crazy Cajun at the corner of Beach and Station Street. Tables of six also are available and may be reserved by calling director Ken Yarbrough at (361) 332- 8914.

The dinner of salad, lasagna, beer and wine will be catered by the Venetian Hot Plate, and will feature piano and vocals by several of the 14-member ensemble that will perform in the revue. Each performance will be enhanced by relevant video.

“We’re trying to create the old supper club kind of intimate feel,” Yarbrough said.

The revue will feature songs from Broadway shows such as Hair Spray, Pippin, Carousel, Phantom of the Opera – “some old standards and some new,” Yarbrough said.

All of the music will reflect the Relay For Life theme of “Fight back and remember.”

A space for dancing will be available for those so inclined.

Members of the ensemble, in addition to Yarbrough, are Jenna Ward, Shirlene Burroughs, Mike Jones, Cathryn Yarbrough, Syndei Montello, Ty Morris, Morgan Milligan, Phyllis Layne, Taylor Griffin, Christian Harper, David Beane, Aaron Cooper and Bill McKinney. Technician is Jason Morris.
