FISHING REPORT
These anglers fished with Capt. Russell Sanguinet aboard the Scat Cat out of Fisherman’s Wharf Saturday, March 24. On the 56-hour trip, they caught yellowfin tuna, blackfin tuna, wahoo, dorado, and warsaw grouper.

Eric Peschke at Dolphin Dock said the 36-hour trip returned 70 blackfin tuna, one yellowfin tuna, one barracuda, one wahoo and a dozen small sharks. Another trip yielded three wahoo, bull tiger sharks and vermilion snapper.
In the bay, anglers caught Spanish mackerel, redfish, sand trout and gafftop.
MaryAnn Heimann at Offshore Adventures, at South Bay Marina, says she has seen limits of redfish, speckled trout and gafftop.
Jeff Miller at Horace Caldwell Pier said anglers returned with pompano, Spanish mackerel, black drum and whiting.
This group of anglers went fishing Saturday, March 17, on a 24-hour trip aboard the Gulf Eagle with Capt. Keith Schoolcraft out of Deep Sea Headquarters. They brought back this catch of blackfin tuna, amberjack, barracuda and a large spinner shark.

Bay anglers are catching redfish, black drum, sheepshead and Spanish mackerel at the end of the jetties.
Art Singleton of Woody’s Sports Center says anglers have caught limits of redfish, trout, some large sheepshead and black drum. For bait they are using live shrimp, menhaden and mullet.
Scott Garrison of Fisherman’s Wharf reports that day trips have been catching great numbers of king mackerel, vermilion and lane snapper, triggerfish, African pompano, amberjack and grouper.

Bay guides have been catching limits of red drum and sheepshead. Catches of black drum and speckled trout also have been brought in.
North jetty anglers caught sheepshead, redfish, Spanish mackerel and jackfish.
Kristi Schroeder and Lila King of Dallas caught and released this sailfish while fishing with Alberto Moreno on J. W. Bones’ boat, the Mojo, in Guatemala last week. Schroeder is the daughter of Dale and Kay Schroeder of Port Aransas.
