Police are working 12-hour shifts during the height of Spring Break and are augmented by off-duty officers from nearby cities as well as officers from state agencies such as the Department of Public Safety and the Alcoholic Beverage Commission. No major Spring Break-related incidents had been reported early in the week.



Officers speak to a couple of Spring Breakers on the beach on Sunday, March 11, the first weekend of this year’s Spring Break. While the early part of the week was foggy, conditions were expected to improve later.
