The Marlin and Lady Marlin basketball teams are both deserving a big “atta-boys.”

The Marlins ended their season at the regional semi-final tournament, while the Lady Marlins’ season ended at area.

Both teams gave fans a great ride -- and plenty of reason to look forward to next season.

Certainly losing is disappointing, but both teams took their losses with grace, and headed right out to the baseball or softball fields, tennis courts, track or golf course.

So, while we can’t follow them in the gym, we can continue our support at other competitive venues.

Congratulations are in order for both teams and their coaches, Joe Kocurek for the Marlins, and Stephanie Cowen for the Lady Marlins.

You made us proud, and we look forward to your continued successes in your academic endeavors as well as in track, tennis, baseball, softball and golf.
