STAFF PHOTO BY DAN PARKER STAFF PHOTO BY DAN PARKER Keith Farley of Lamar poses with a wooden model of a Farley boat that he built and recently donated to the Port Aransas Museum. The Farley Boat Works boat building business operated at a number of locations around Port Aransas from the early 1900s to 1970. It was the longest-lasting major boat building business in Port Aransas history. Keith Farley is part of the family that operated Farley Boat Works. The model is on display at the Farley Boat Works annex of the Port Aransas Museum. The freshly restored boat works building is on Avenue C near Cut-off Road.
