Student fundraiser to have pirate theme

Arrrrh!

Now’s your chance to bring out that pirate in you.

Brundrett Middle School eighth-graders who plan on going to Washington, D.C., in June will host a fundraising “pirate party” on Sunday, March 4, at Moby Dick’s Restaurant, 517 S. Alister St.

It runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and features finger food, live music, a pirate costume contest with cash prizes, a silent auction, a cash bar and a chance to get your photo taken with a live parrot.

Tickets are $10 in advance, available at the Island Moorings Marina ship’s store, 3500 Island Moorings Pkwy.; the Parrot, the Peg and the Patch, 314 E. Ave. G; or CafĂ© Phoenix, 219 Beach St.; or $12 at the door.

For more information, call Debbie Dean at 749-4100.
