Marlins put away Woodsboro, 70-56

Five starters in double digits contributed to an easy win in the Marlins’ final district game of the season as they coasted past Woodsboro at home, 70- 56 on Tuesday, Feb. 14.

Caleb Rogers was high scorer for the Marlins with 20 points, including two threepointers. Chase Gustafson put in 14, including one long-distance shot; Tyler Pate and Andrew Groseclose each nailed 12 points, with Groseclose hitting one three-pointer; and Storm Bales contributed 10 points with one three-pointer. Christian Johnson hit two to round out the Marlins scoring.

Port Aransas forged a 16-7 lead in the first period and by the halftime horn owned a commanding 40-26 advantage. They also outscored the Eagles in the third period, wrapping up the victory.
