Tribute to Einkauf

My wife and I have owned a condo in Port Aransas since the 1970s. Back then, Carlos Bilmore recommended Gary Einkauf for an offshore fishing guide. My friends and I have had many great trips with him aboard “Tambucina.” He always knew where the fish were.

When he changed to bay fishing, he was unique in the fact that he used a jet-drive outboard that could go almost anywhere on the flats. Again, he knew where the fish were. When he was busy, he would not hesitate to recommend other excellent guides and unselfishly added to their clientele.

Besides being a guide, Gary was a good friend. He had a dry sense of humor, but he was always serious about providing us with great fishing and a positive experience. He also would provide information about the current best places to eat on the island.

Gary, if you are reading this, Frances, myself, all of my friends and their friends thank you for making our trips to Port Aransas very special.
