Hilda Marie Reiter Huds peth, formerly of Port Aransas, died Jan. 20, 2012 after a long battle with cancer.

She was born July 18, 1937, in Taylor. She grew up in Port Aransas, but lived in Woodsboro for the last 15 years.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Velva Lee Moore and August Reiter; stepfather, Herman Moore; husband of 55 years, James B. Hudspeth; two sons, James D. Hudspeth and Steven W. Hudspeth; sister, Patsy Frick; and two brothers, Bruce Reiter and Billie Reiter.

Survivors include a brother, Claude Kenneth Reiter of Aransas Pass; two daughters, Karen (Ronnie) Hale of Ingleside; Pamela (Mark) Meredith of Moore, Okla.; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Chapel in Aransas Pass. A reception will follow at the Ingleside Garden Center in Ingleside.
