Woodsboro poses no trouble for BMS
The eighth- grade boys rumbled to a 43-9 win on the strength of double-digit scoring in three of the four quarters while holding Woodsboro to no more than five points in a period.
From the 10-0 lead in the first quarter, they never looked back.
Jesse Marraro led the Marlins with nine points, followed by Hank Brennan with seven. Chase Denton, James Johnson and Wade Thomas each had six points, while Connally Waight hit five, Devon Byrd put in three and Camron Collins got one.
The win puts the BMS eighth-graders at 5-1 in district play.
The seventh-graders sprang to a 12-7 halftime lead en route to a 33-22 final victory.
They were led by Kyle Jones with 20 points. Johnny Burlington hit eight, Ben Milligan put in three and Trout Lorette hit two points in the win.
