Bus will leave at 8 a.m. $40.* Jan. 23 - Illinois state dinner. 3 p.m. at the Butterchurn Restaurant in Aransas Pass. $8.11 (coffee, tea, or lemonade and tax included; tip is not.) Jan. 25 - Kayak trip, weather permitting. Meet in front of JELM at 8 a.m.to follow Dick Mooers to Shamrock Island docking area. Paddlers must provide their own transportation and kayak suitable for open water, 12-foot minimum. A PFD must be worn while paddling, and participants must be able to swim. A reasonable level of fitness is assumed. Jan. 25 - Winter Dance, featuring the Texas Stars Band with Carl Erwin. 6-9 p.m., PC. A variety of music, including line dancing, polka, chacha and waltzes will be played. Bring a snack to share, a buffet line will be setup during intermission; coffee and soft drinks provided. Ornithologists will guide tours and lectures and activities are planned throughout the day. Bus leaves at 6:30 a.m. $45.
