Audiences at the Port Aransas Community Theatre’s Christmas Party Show were treated to a comical rendition of ‘A Port A Christmas Carol,’ featuring Elvis (Dave Beane) as the ghost of Christmas past, on left. Below, children gather ‘round for the story of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. Port Aransas youth also performed a Nativity play from the perspective of the innkeeper who becomes increasingly frustrated by all the interruptions to her night’s sleep. An old- fashioned Christmas carol sing-a-long rounded out the show. Nearly 50 performers took to the stage for the finale. The show ran two nights, Dec. 9 and 10, and netted $432 and three large boxes of groceries, all for the Helping Hands Food Pantry.
