L aw a - nda Sue James of Port Aransas died Friday, Dec. 9, 2011. She was 69.

James was born May 25, 1942 in Hollis, Okla. to Margaret and Fred James.

She retired as library director of the Bill Ellis Memorial Library in 2004.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two sisters, Linda Orr and Doris LaNell Bilbrey; and a brother, Noland Bilbrey.

Survivors include her husband, John Brundrett of Port Aransas; two sons, Vinton Lee (Teresa) James IV of Port Aransas and John Jordan (Ceryl) James of San Antonio; four grandchildren, Vinton James V, Tarah James, Rhys James and Blaze James.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Dec. 13 at Trinityby the-Sea Episcopal Church with burial in Royal Palms Cemetery.
