Time is running out
Auditions for PACT play are Tuesday, Wednesday
All those who enjoy playing it up big, and having a few laughs to boot, should make their way to the Port Aransas Community Theatre to try out for a part in an upcoming melodrama production.
“Desperate Ambrose,” scheduled for the stage in January and February at the theatre, still has openings for a few good men. In particular, two men in their late teens to early 40s and one man between 40 and 60 are needed. Also needed is a small girl, age 10 to 12.
Auditions will be held at the theatre, 2327 State Hwy. 361, tomorrow, Tuesday, Dec. 20, and Wednesday, Dec. 21, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Rehearsals begin on Jan. 2. The play will be presented Feb. 2-4, 9-11 and 16-18, with one Sunday matinee on Feb. 12.
Actors can have fun, acting up and over-acting in the role of a sheriff, one of his cohorts or a stranger stranded in an old Texas town, Dead Man’s Gulch.
No experience is needed.
People who can’t make the audition dates but want to get involved should contact the director, Emily Regier, at (505) 629-1219. Organizers are urging that interested folks call now so the complete cast can be selected in time to begin rehearsals.
