Top art


Arianna Marraro, a ninth-grader at Port Aransas High School, took first place for her art entry in the Art Center for the Islands annual Middle School and High School Student Art Show. Marraro competed against students from Brundrette Middle School, Flour Bluff middle and high schools and Seashore Middle Academy. Other PAISD students who received awards were Rebecca Honeck, 12th-grade first place; Sarah Falconer, 10th-grade second place; Aly Lipman, seventhgrade second place; and Aubrey Sergeant, seventh-grade third place. The exhibit is available for viewing at the art center through December.
