Tyler Pate, scoring ace for the Port Aransas High School Marlins, racked up another honor today.

Pate won the slam dunk contest, according to coach Joe Kocurek, at the Pride of Texas Tournament.

The tournament continues through Saturday at Tuloso-Midway High School in Corpus Christi.
