Beachcombers and those who just have curious minds are invited to meet at the beach tomorrow morning, Friday, Oct. 28, for a free guided beach walk.

Port Aransan Shirley Fischer will lead the walk, helping participants identify shells and other items that wash ashore on area beaches. Walkers should meet at 9 a.m. under the purple flag next to the Horace Caldwell Pier.

Beach walkers should wear sunscreen, appropriate shoes, hats and clothing and bring a container for any treasures found.

Sponsored by the City of Port Aransas Parks and Recreation Department, the walks are held on the fourth Friday of each month.
