Brundrett runners have good time(s) at Calallen

How well did Brundrett Middle School cross-country runners enjoy the meet at Calallen on Saturday, Oct. 8? Some of them ran their best races of the year, coach Javier Mendoza reported.

Both the weather and the course itself were favorable, Mendoza said.

“We are still trying to learn strategies for where we want to be at a certain point in the race, and what pace you have to keep up for a certain finish time,” he said.

BMS runners will practice those concepts on Saturday, Oct. 15, when they run the hilly course at West Guth Park in Corpus Christi. They’re aiming for the district meet, which is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 25, also at West Guth.
