The South Jetty will be closed on Monday. Doors will open at 8 a.m. Tuesday in preparation for the extended 9:30 a.m. deadline when all news, advertising and letters to the editor must be turned in. The newspaper will go to press as usual Tuesday night, so any items that can be turned in ahead of deadline, either by 5 p.m. tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 2, or sent via email over the weekend, will be appreciated.
Closed will be city hall, and both banks – American and ValueBank Texas.
