Wetlands Education Center at the University of Texas Marine Science Institute, ages 3-7. Learn about Coastal Bend wetlands through science, exploration, crafts and more. Limited to 24 participants, on a first-come, first-served basis. $4 per participant, including adults, payable by cash or check only. MONDAY, AUG. 8 • Bingo/Board Games. 2-4 p.m. Girl Scout Hut. Day Camps • Private swim lessons. Four 30-minute sessions by arrangement with pool manager. One child, $18; Two children, $30. • Summer Reading Program at Ellis Memorial Library, ages 4-9, but all ages are welcome. Wednesdays, 3-4 p.m. Self-paced program with activities planned to promote reading, stimulate curiosity and encourage children to use library resources.
