Jerry Nuckolls of Port Aransas died Thursday, July 28, 2011. He was 61.

Nuckolls had been a resident of Port Aransas for 20 years and opened the island’s first tattoo business, Island Tattoo Shop, in 2002.

Survivors include his wife, Terri; sons, Jerry Jr. and Chris; daughter, Bridget; and stepchildren, Matthew McCrae, Jeri Rae and Dean. All are from Port Aransas, except Jeri Rae who is from Sinton.
