Fishing for history

Taking part in a field trip to the Port Aransas Museum on Tuesday, Aug. 2, are, from left, Levi Klusmeyer, 6, of Point Venture (on Lake Travis, near Austin), Holten Robinson, 7, of Corpus Christi and Katy Simpson, 9, of San Antonio. The children were pretending to fish for tarpon while seated in the restored stern section of an historic Farley boat called the Manny. Farley boats were manufactured in Port Aransas from 1916 to the early 1970s. The field trip was sponsored by the Port Aransas Parks and Recreation Department.
