TUESDAY, JULY 19 9:03 A.M. • Emergency Medical Service (EMS) workers took a sick person from the 600 block of Beach Access Road 1A to a Corpus Christi hospital. 12:22 P.M. • A sick person was taken to a Corpus Christi hospital by EMS workers from the 4000 block of State Hwy.361. WEDNESDAY, JULY 20 4:11 A.M. • Firefighters were called to Harbor Island where a sparking utility pole started a grass fire near the entrance to the Port of Corpus Christi property. The fire was quickly extinguished. 9 A.M. • Someone in a golf cart ran into three canopies near Pole 9 on the beach, causing $360 in damage. 11:22 A.M. • A man received non-lifethreatening head injuries when the golf cart he was driving hit a truck at Avenue G and Alister Street. He was treated by EMS. THURSDAY, JULY 21 4:13 P.M. • EMS workers took a sick person to an area hospital from the 600 block of Oceanside Drive. 4:53 P.M. • A minor accident was reported at Cotter Avenue and Cut-off Road. 5:01 P.M. • A minor accident occurred at Alister Street and Avenue G. 5:32 P.M. • A sick person was taken to an area hospital by EMS crews from the 100 block of State Hwy. 361 North on Harbor Island. 5:39 P.M. • The theft of $100 worth of scrap lumber was reported in the 300 block of Sea Isle Drive. 5:44 P.M. • A non-injury minor accident was reported in the 300 block of North Alister Street. FRIDAY, JULY 22 9:12 A.M. • Campers near Pole 9 on the beach reported the theft of a canopy and frame worth $97. 2:52 P.M. • The first of five accidents within eight hours involving a vehicle hitting a parked car was reported. The locations were varied and nobody was hurt in any of the hit-and-run accidents. 7:22 P.M. • HALO-Flight aeromedical helicopter was called to take a man to a Corpus Christi hospital after he was pinned beneath a golf cart in the 2000 block of On the Beach. No details of the accident were available, nor was the victim’s name or condition. 9:07 P.M. • A person was treated at an accident in the 500 block of South Ă…lister Street, and police also arrested a woman on 10 outstanding municipal court warrants. 11:13 P.M. • At Avenue F and Alister Street, an officer charged a woman with possession of a controlled substance. SATURDAY, JULY 23 12:26 A.M. • A fight in the 800 block of Tarpon Street ended with the arrest of one man on outstanding municipal court warrants and another man being charged with public intoxication. 1:23 A.M. • At 10th Street and Avenue C, somebody slashed a vehicle’s tire. Damage was estimated at $150. 4:44 A.M. • Police called to a suspicious vehicle at Avenue G and Alister Street found the driver, William R. Hardgrove, of Malakoff, dead in the driver’s seat. No foul play is suspected (see related story). SUNDAY, JULY 24 • Between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday, five lost children on the beach were reunited with their parents. 7:59 P.M. • A vehicle hit a parked car in the 300 block of Cut-off Road and was driven away. No one was hurt. 10:57 P.M. • In the 200 block of North Alister Street, a woman was arrested on 10 outstanding municipal court warrants.
