Hustle! The Port Aransas Swim Team has been busy lately. On Saturday, July 9, the team competed against some other Coastal Bend swim teams in a meet at West Guth Park in Corpus Christi. Then, on the following Monday, the team held a swim-a-thon that raised hundreds of dollars for team. (The exact total wasn’t available at deadline.) The meet allowed individual swimmers the opportunity to practice for the regional meet to be held Saturday, July 16, also at the natatorium. At regionals, the team will compete against some 25 teams in the summer league, according to coach Nana Ward.

COURTESY PHOTO Following regionals will be the City Championships on July 22-24 at the natatorium. At the city level, the team will compete against swimmers who practice year-round.
