Sea shells by the sea shore… learn how to identify those shells during a guided beach walk tomorrow, Friday, June 24.

Beachcombers and those with curious minds are invited to the free monthly walk, led by Shirley Fischer.

Walkers should meet at 9 a.m. under the purple flag next to Horace Caldwell Pier. Fischer will talk about the common items that wash ashore on Mustang Island beaches and help participants identify “treasures” found.

Participants should wear sunscreen, appropriate shoes, hats and clothing and bring a container for any treasures found.

Sponsored by the City of Port Aransas Parks and Recreation Department, the walks are held on the fourth Friday of each month.
