For all you do, this ice cream’s for you

H.G. Olsen Elementary School students were treated to an ice cream social on Friday, May 20, by the Port Aransas Chamber of Commerce-Tourist Bureau. The party was in appreciation for the work the students did on a mural for the Whooping Crane Festival in February. On hand for the party were, from left, chamber of commerce director of special events Debra Williams, volunteer Cecilya Ramsey who helps the students with the mural each year, art teacher Gay deMontel, chamber director of membership services Teresa Clanton, and volunteers Annette Casto, Barbara Behrens, Lynne Gabel, principal Pat Nelson and volunteer Arlene Hughes. Holding a certificate of appreciation are students Hannah Waters and Carson Collins. The students gathered in the school cafeteria to have the ice cream social.
