With summer just around the corner, it’s not too early to begin making those summertime plans for the kids.

The Port Aransas Community Theatre will hold “Play and Learn at PACT,” a two-week summer theatre camp, from June 13 through June 24.

Children entering grades three through five are invited to a morning session workshop to be held 9 a.m.-1 p.m., and those entering sixth through 12th may attend an afternoon workshop to be held 1-5 p.m.

Cost is $149 per camper, with scholarships for multichildren families and membership discounts available.

Classes will focus on two primary areas: Building acting skills, theater tech and theater safety, while using theatre to empower students to become active and engaged in local theater, and allowing students the opportunity to express themselves, collaborate with others, explore the creative process and investigate elements of story, character, themes and genres.
