Take old papers to civic center to shred
Declutter your office and home by taking part in the annual Island Shred Day.
Those who need to rid their drawers and file cabinets of private papers no longer needed are invited to bring them to the Port Aransas Civic Center, 710 W. Ave. A, on Wednesday, May 4, 10 a.m.-noon, to have them shredded.
Hosted by the Port Aransas Chamber of Commerce- Tourist Bureau, all materials brought will be destroyed on-site and recycled. Paperbased materials only will be accepted, and spirals, paperclips and staples are fine. There is a limit of five boxes per person.
Donations will be welcomed and will benefit the Helping Hands Food Pantry in Port Aransas.
