Organizers of a Port Aransas chapter of Fishing’s Future Steven Putegnat, from left, Shane Wilson and Steven Putegnat were on hand Sunday morning, April 10, for a children’s camp at Fred Rhodes Memorial Pavilion in Roberts Point Park. Six-year old Emma Sullivan and nine-year old Haley Sullivan, both of San Antonio, received instruction on how to use a rod and reel. They were joined by their aunt Grace Sullivan of Port Aransas. Fishing’s Future goal is to reconnect kids to parents and nature and strengthen family bonds.
