Dunk Your Junk set for Saturday

Looking for an opportunity to rid your yard, garage or home of some built-up clutter?

Keep Port Aransas Beautiful, with the City of Port Aransas and Allied Waste-BFI, will host Dunk your Junk on Saturday, April 9, from 9 a.m. to noon.

The twice-yearly tradition allows residents to dispose of junk for free.

During the event, the city transfer station on Ross Avenue will open its gates to accept non- hazardous household waste. Tires and commercial trash will not be accepted during this event. Paint, freon, anti-freeze and other dangerous fluids also are excluded.

KPAB is a non-profit organization, whose mission is to promote public interest to create a cleaner, more beautiful Port Aransas through volunteerism and education.

The organization focuses on litter reduction, beautification and community improvement, to reduce/reuse/ recycle/rebuy and provides environmental education.
