Eighth-graders continue fund-raising
You have another chance on Saturday, March 26, to help Brundrett Middle School eighth-graders finance a trip to Washington, D.C. this Spring.
Students will be at the Family Center IGA, 418 S. Alister St., from 1 to 4 p.m. that day, selling baked goods to help finance the trip.
The Washington trips are a June tradition for eighthgraders, who go to see firsthand what they’ve learned during the school year. It is called a “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to discover American history first-hand and to fully grasp the meaning of the lessons taught in the classroom.”
Students will travel with an accredited student travel organization and will be accompanied by parents and teachers. Since it is not a school-sponsored trip, teachers will not be going as Port Aransas ISD employees.
Another bake sale is planned for Saturday, April 23, also at the Family Center.
