From 12:30 to 3 p.m., gently worn prom dresses, formals, shoes and even jewelry will be for sale at the Port Aransas Community Theater, 2327 St. Hwy. 361.
Sponsored by Valero, dresses may be purchased in a live auction and also “off the racks,” with prices ranging from $20 to $75.
Donated dresses have been professionally cleaned and alterations are being offered at a discount.
The goal of the sale is two-fold: To raise money to help people with cancer while providing girls with the opportunity to have the prom dress of their dreams. The annual event will help a different beneficiary each year. This year’s beneficiary will be Jessica Harris, who has been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
The public is invited to the free event. Snacks and drinks will be served.
