Music lovers are invited to sit back and relax while listening to the mellow sounds of singer/songwriter Carol Elliot at the Winter Sounds concert Monday, Feb. 21.

Recipient of the Wrangler award from the National Cowboy Hall of Fame for best western song of the year, Elliot has recorded five albums of original songs as well as a children’s CD. She has performed around the world, including for hospitalized soldiers in Israel, at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn. and for millions of television viewers in Germany, where one of her CDs hit the music charts.

The free concert is part of a series presented through a partnership between the City of Port Aransas Parks and Recreation Department and the Port Aransas Community Theatre.
