A Winter Dance featuring music by Carl Erwin and the Texas Stars Band will be held at the Pollock Center on Wednesday, Jan. 19, at 6 p.m.

A variety of dance tunes will be played and prize drawings will be held at the center, located in the Community Presbyterian Church complex at 113 S. Alister St.

Participants are encouraged to bring a dish to share, soft drinks will be provided.

Tickets for the dance, sponsored by the Joint Effort Leisure Center (JELM), can be purchased for $5 each at the JELM greeter’s desk or at a Golden Oldies Jam Session held on Tuesdays and Fridays at 6 p.m. Early purchase of tickets is encouraged for an attendance count for supplies and prizes.
