In the Jan. 13 edition of the South Jetty, a story about a guided beach walk included the wrong date for the event due to incorrect information provided to the South Jetty.
The beach walk will be at 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 28. The free event begins under a purple flag on the beach at Horace Caldwell Pier.
The event is sponsored by the City of Port Aransas Parks and Recreation Department. Guide Shirley Fischer will help visitors and residents learn about all the treasures that wash ashore on Mustang Island beaches.
Sunscreen and appropriate shoes, hats and clothing are all suggested, as well as a container to hold your treasures.
The walks are held on the fourth Friday of each month.
