The junior varsity Lady Marlins played the visiting Hempstead Lady- Cats to a 4-4 tie at the end of the first quarter, took that to a 12-8 lead at the half, and went on to win their game, 37-17.

Except for that first period, they outscored the JV LadyCats in each quarter of the game.

Jenna Socha and Kellie Owens each hit eight to lead the Lady Marlins’ scoring. Missy Gilbreath and Brenna Martin scored six apiece, Chase Hagedorn put in five and Vivian Frank and Devan Murray hit two each.

The junior varsity record now stands at 7-3.
