Kids with hoop dreams will want to register for youth basketball season.

The South Texas Athletics Club Youth Basketball League will hold registration on Monday, Jan. 3, at the Brundrett Middle School gym, 100 S. Station St., at 6 p.m.

Registration fee is $45, and checks should be made payable to STAC.

Basketball teams are forming now for Port Aransas boys and girls in grades three through six. Both boys’ and girls’ teams will be formed if enough players register. If not, teams will be co-ed.

Players will begin practices on the following Monday, Jan. 10, and the season will run Jan. 29 through March 12. Although teams will practice in Port Aransas, games will be played in Rockport on Saturdays.
