BBQ dinner to benefit Sutter
Beach and Station Street Grill, 235 Beach St., will host the benefit from noon to 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 29.
Sutter, who has been a cook at the restaurant for more than three years, recently suffered spinal column fractures and ruptured discs. The benefit is being held to help with medical expenses of his surgery to remove bone fragments and the insertion of titanium fusions.
Tickets for barbecue brisket, chicken and sausage along with red beans and potato salad are $7, and can be purchased at the restaurant now or on the day of the event. Musical entertainment will include Rock-n-Blues Engine, Alma, and Marc Wiles and Friends. Hourly prize drawings and a silent auction featuring items from area merchants will round out the event.
Monetary donations can be deposited in an account at American Bank in Sutter’s wife’s name, Candace Erin Sutter, account number 310081378. Items for the silent auction also are being sought and can be taken to the restaurant.
Sutter, 26, and his wife have a 13- month old son, Joseph II, and a newborn daughter, Justine.
