Ring in the New Year with a bit of fitness and some fresh air at the 2011 Meander.

The City of Port Aransas Parks and Recreation Department will host its annual 2-mile run or 2011-meter walk on Saturday, Jan. 1.

The free event will begin at 2:11 p.m. at the Port Aransas Community Park, 700 Clark Blvd., off Ross Avenue.
