The Art Center for the Islands will hold a “Middle School and High School Student Art Show” reception on Sunday, Dec. 5, from 2 to 4 p.m.

Normally slated as the First Friday art reception, the December reception has been scheduled for Sunday to better accommodate students schedules.

Schools scheduled to participate are Port Aransas, Aransas Pass, Flour Bluff and Seashore Middle Academy. Students will compete for first, second and third places, and best of show.

The public is invited to meet the artists, enjoy the exhibit, live music and refreshments, and socialize.

The exhibit will be on display through December.

Family Center IGA and Karen and Dan Winship are sponsoring the art center during December.
