William Harrell “Corky” Ricks of Port Aransas died on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010. He was 81.

Ricks was born on Dec. 16, 1928 in Kennedy to William Henry and Ida Loleate Ricks.

He owned and operated Rick’s Mechanical in San Antonio for many years before moving to Port Aransas.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Ricks of Port Aransas; two sons, William (Connie) Ricks of Cedar Park and Mark Ricks of Castro Valley, Calif.; three daughters, Susan (Ford) Fox of San Antonio, Shirley (Jim) Duncan of San Antonio and Kathy (Darrell) Forrest of Port Aransas; a brother, Alton (Carol) Ricks of San Antonio; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 4, from 3 to 9 p.m., with services at 6 p.m., at the Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Chapel, 2003 W. Wheeler Ave., in Aransas Pass.

Interment will be private.
