How about a round of golf for a good cause?

The Kiwanis Club of Port Aransas will host its third annual golf scholarship tournament on Saturday, Oct. 30, at the Newport Dunes Golf Club, 265 Palm Island Drive.

The deadline to register has been extended to Friday, Oct. 29.

Beginning at 8 a.m., it will be a fourperson scramble using USGA handicap, totaling at least 42 for four players. Singles are welcome and the club will place you on a team.

The $100 entry fee includes the green fee, cart, range balls and lunch. Prizes, donated by area businesses, will be awarded for the top teams in a variety of categories.

Registration can be completed online at http://portaransaskiwanis.org or by mail to Kiwanis Club of Port Aransas, P.O. Box 968, Port Aransas, TX 78373. Forms are available on the South Jetty Web site, www.portasouthjetty.com. Under the News menu bar on the left, click on Forms, and select the Kiwanis Golf Tournament form. The form can also be delivered in person to Tootie Barnes at American Bank, 216 S. Alister St.
